Gene Hackman is all right after being hit by a car while riding a motorcycle in Key West, Fla., his rep tells Access Hollywood.
"He is fine, he is on his way home," a rep for Hackman told Access on Friday, adding that the actor suffered only bumps and bruises.

On Friday afternoon, TMZ reported that the Academy Award-winning star, 81, had been airlifted to a Florida trauma hospital with "serious injuries to his head and body" following the collision.
The accident reportedly took place at approximately 3 PM local time, according to the website.

No other details on the accident were immediately available.
Hackman last appeared on the big screen in the 2004 comedy "Welcome to Mooseport."
